A pre-ceremony cocktail hour for guests to mingle, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, and sip cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks before the wedding party arrives; please plan to arrive on time so you don’t miss the processional.

Cocktail Hour

A kid-friendly table where little guests can eat, play, and craft together—supervised by a few friendly adults so parents can relax. Snacks, coloring supplies, and simple games will be provided.

We’re keeping things semi-formal for our fall wedding in Oelwein—polished but comfortable. For women: cocktail dresses, dressy skirts, or tailored jumpsuits; consider a light wrap or shawl for the evening. For men: dress shirts and slacks with an optional sport coat or suit; ties are optional. The reception will be indoors with dancing—please choose shoes you can celebrate in. If you’re unsure, dress one step up from smart-casual. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up for our special night on October 17, 2026.
